THE RACES ARE ON FOR THIS SATURDAY IF WE DONT GET ANY HEAVY RAIN STORMS, I HAVE REPAIRED THE TRACK AND HOPE IT IS JUST SHOWERS, THAT WOULD MAKE THE TRACK VERY GOOD. STAY POSTED FOR MORE ABOUT THURSDAY OR FRIDAY. IF WE RACE SATURDAY ALL NEED TO COME FOR SOME IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS ABOUT OUR RACING THIS YEAR. MIKE

OPENING SOON SPEEDZONE MOTOCROSS RACING

Opening in the month of April will be our new motocross racetrack for kids 12 and under, for 4 wheelers and dirtbikes. We have about a 1000 ft course for the 4 wheelers and about a 1200 foot course for the dirtbikes, with jumps and zig zag turns and a blast for your youngster. This track has been made especially for the younger riders so they dont have to be frightened of big jumps and high speed. the jumps are built for the smaller ATV'S and smaller dirtbikes. helping us promote the track and guide us thru it is JO BLOW MOTORSPORTS of Athens and SPRING CITY CYCLES of Spring City. For any questions please email us at speedzon@msn.com or call during normal bussiness hours 423-744-8358 and if no answer call 423-506-9257. These races will be for children 12 and younger. There will cc limits and the rules are still being concieved. But there will be trophies in all classes for the top 3 in each class. Complete safty gear will be required for all riders. We will have electronic scoring and concessions on premises.

SPEEDZONE RACEWAY PARK 2007 RULES
Rules updated 11-6-2006. Please read carefully!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DUE TO THE FACT THAT A RTR BUGGY HAS SET THE RTR RECORD AND THE OUTLAW RECORD, WE ARE ONLY GOING TO HAVE ONE CLASS IN THE 1/8 BUGGY, AND THE 2WD TRUCKS AND 4WD TRUCKS. THIS IS LIKE IT USED TO BE AND THE SLOWER BUGGIES WILL BE IN THE B AND C MAINS. ALL PRIZES AND AWARDS WILL BE THE SAME FOR A MAIN AND ALL OTHER MAINS.
1/8 Buggy
1. Any 2 stroke engine .32 or less
2. Any after market parts allowed, including radio systems
3. Must retain OEM wheelbase and length
4. Any 1/8th buggy tire and wheel combination. May run silicone covered tires. No foreign objects IN tires.
5. 2-speed trannys allowed
6. May run a side board, but must run stock rear spoiler.
7. Any gear ratio
8. Any suspension modification
9. Must have buggy body
1/10th 4WD Stadium Truck
1. Any 1/10th 4 wd truck chassis
2. Must be the .20 Engine or less. May convert from roto or pull start to bump start
3. Must be the OEM wheel offset and dimension any tires and wheels allowed!!!!!! that meets this rule.
4. Must be the stock RTR body, but may paint anyway you like, any aero additions!!!
5. Any suspension modification and you may replace the diff fluid and run any shock and shock oil.
6. Must retain stock wheel base & length
7. Any radio system
9. Any gear ratio by changing clutchbell only
10. Any breather and neck ok. No turbos or superchargers!!!!
11. Reccommended but not required vehicle Hotbodies Stadium 10 RTR truck, as we have already tested and they are the best. May run the HPI MT1 or 2 and the Tamiya Nitro Crusher.
1/10th 2wd Truck All 2 WD trucks
1. Any .20 or less 2 stroke engine
2. Any tire and wheel, rubber or foam May run silicone covered tires. (May modify existing tread. No foreign objects in tires) Tread must be minimun 1 3/4" wide.
3. Any radio system
4. Any Aero system
5. Must be stadium truck body
6. 2-speed allowed
7. Any suspension modification
Monster Truck 1/8
1. Any 4Wd Monster Truck (no HPI MT1 or 2 or Nitro Crusher 1/10th scale)
2. Any .32 engine or less
3. Any chassis or suspension modifications
4. Any radio system
5. Any body allowed
6. Any gear ratio
7. Any tire and wheel combo.
8. Any aero package.

2 classes $30.00
3 or more $35.00
SpeedZone Raceway reserves the right to interpret or change the rules whenever they think it is needed.
WE HAVE DECIDED TO GO BACK TO FREE RACE PASSES FOR THE FEATURE WINNER IN EACH RACE THAT THERE ARE 5 OR MORE VEHICLES IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WE HAVE DONE THESE CHANGES SO THAT WE MAY OFFER MORE RACING FOR YOUR MONEY, THIS WILL ALLOW FOR 2 HEAT RACES AND A FEATURE, AS WE COULD ONLY RUN 1 HEAT AND A FEATURE THIS YEAR DURING THE SUMMER SEASON.
FOR THE 2007 SEASON THE RACES WILL BE 20 LAP HEATS 2 OF THEM IN EACH CLASS.
FEATURES WILL ALL BE 60 LAPS. SAME NUMBER OF LAPS WE RUN NOW.
IN APPRECIATION FOR THE RACERS THAT RAN THIS YEAR WITHOUT THE PROMISE OF GETTING ANYTHING OTHER THAN HAVING FUN. THE 2007 SEASON WE WILL GO BACK TO A POINTS SYSTEM AND HANDING OUT PLAQUES FOR FIRST SECOND AND THIRD.
WE WILL HOLD 3 BIG RACES IN THE 2007 SEASON, AND WILL PUT UP $1000.00 EACH RACE TO BE DISTRIBUTED BETWEEN THE TOP 3 IN EACH MAIN. THIS WILL BE BASED ON 100 ENTRIES AT $20.00 PER ENTRY. IF UNDER 100 ENTRIES THEN PURSE WILL BE ADJUSTED BY THE CORRECT PERCENTAGE. IF THIS WORKS WELL THE FIRST RACE. THEN IT COULD BECOME A MONTHLY EVENT. THIS ALL DEPENDS ON YOU, THE RACERS AND HOW YOU DEAL WITH WINNING OR LOSING WITH MONEY INVOVLED.
THE POINTS RACES WILL START WITH THE FIRST RACE HELD IN THE MONTH OF APRIL 2007, HOWEVER IF WEATHER WILLING WE WILL START RACING IN MARCH, BUT POINTS WONT START UNTIL THE FIRST RACE IN APRIL. PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR INPUT ON HOW YOU WOULD LIKE THE POINTS TO BE SCORED.
